Hello! Welcome to intermediate unicycle lessons! My name is Kevin Kartchner and I will be the course instructor. I'm 21 years old and I'm currently attending Utah State University. I recently returned from a 2 year LDS service mission in Cancun, Mexico. I have 10 years of unicycle experience which includes participating in competitions nationally and internationally. I had the opportunity of traveling to Brixon, Italy to compete in the world unicycle championships in 2012 and placed 4th in the street category. I am very well known and respected throughout the unicycle community and take great pride in being a good role model for young riders.
Unicycling has been a great way for me to stay active, strengthen my character, and meet new people. Through unicycling I've been able to learn how to set goals, be persistent, stay positive, and solve problems. My goals is that each student can learn these same principles and grow a love for unicycling.
This is an intermediate course and is for students that already know how to ride a unicycle but want to learn more tricks and techniques. You do not have to know any tricks to be in this course, you only need to know how to ride a unicycle comfortably. If you do not know how to ride a unicycle but would like to learn then the beginner course would better suit you. Please visit this
for the beginners course.
This course will be a little different than the beginner course. It will be a 6 week course, 1 day each week for 2 hours. The cost of the course will be $50 up front or $10 per class. Class will be held Wednesdays from 5-7PM.
Class will be held at different locations each week to promote different types of tricks and riding styles. These locations will be posted shortly and will include Utah State University Campus, Logan Skate Park, and other locations around Cache Valley.
I'm assuming that because you know how to ride, you own a unicycle. If this is not the case please call me and we can look at different unicycles you can purchase or possibly rent.
Here are a few unicycles that are great and inexpensive.
Koxx Golden Trails 20-inch
Koxx Midnight 20-inch Trials
Impact Athmos 20-inch Trials
